The Official Unofficial is a daytime festival that takes place in Rotterdam during the Left of the Dial weekend on Friday and Saturday. It’s completely free, no wristbands, or tickets needed, just drop by whenever you feel like it!
Why is it called The Official Unofficial?
People often think that The Official Unofficial is organised and curated by Left of the Dial. It’s not. Left of the Dial is not responsible for the lineup, nor for any productional matters.
But unofficially, The Official Unofficial is fully supported by Left of the Dial spiritually, but mostly promotionally. Just ask them!
Then who curates The Official Unofficial?
The Official Unofficial is hosted by all kinds of parties: festivals, venues, bands, record labels, magazines, booking agencies.. But you really don’t have to be a music related organisation, anyone who wants to host an event, is welcome to do so.
